Delta Son
Delta Son
Delta Son is an Americana / Folk Rock band based out of central North Carolina. They are most known for their intense live performances, soul stirring song writing, and their driving rhythm. They marry heart on the sleeve lyrics with catchy melodies that demand the listener to sing along at the top of their lungs. Delta Son is captivating audiences young, old and everything in between.
Lee Anderson from Look Homeward
Lee Anderson from Look Homeward
Look Homeward is a band of brackish brethren hailing from the piedmont of North Carolina. Friends and countrymen Lee Anderson (guitar, vocals), Alex Bingham (upright bass), Evan Ringel (trombone, fiddle) and Wilson Greene IV (banjo) pair the Appalachian drawls and passionate picking of venerated field recordings with the soul tones of Atlantic beaches and boggy bayous. Marrying banjos with brass, the quartet celebrates the American South in a mingling of old and new, traditional, yet surprising. Add honest folk songwriting and the result is music that just might sound like home, wherever you’re from.
Hardworker
Hardworker
Sus Long left Oakland, CA in 2013 (and folk-duo Kit Carson, a collaboration with Ian James Walters) to move to Durham. That same year, she met bass and banjo player Michael Conner and the two started meeting up to play Ramones covers. The friends kept making friends with musical friends and this bluesy folk band has grown to include guitarist Danny Nowell, singer Alex Treyz, and drummer Dave Berka.

On September 11, 2015, Hardworker will release its first EP, The Awful Rowing--five songs written by Long and recorded with Conner and Treyz in Greensboro at the home studio of the talented-and-true David Wimbish (The Collection). The Awful Rowing features the track "Darkroom Lullaby," which was given an honorable mention in American Songwriter's May/June 2015 issue.
